Our Story

As a teacher and homeschooling mum, I found that a lot of the good-quality open-ended toys available on the market were out of my price range. That made me wonder if it would be possible to find more affordable alternatives. I did a lot of research and vetted a lot of manufacturers and found that it was possible to provide high-quality open-ended toys at a more affordable price compared with all the well-known brands. Thus, Playful Little Hearts was born. 

As a teacher who strongly believes in the benefits of open-ended play (please visit my Instagram page @read.play.love.learn for more tips on play), I am proud to bring you a specially curated collection of open-ended toys that I have hand-picked myself, and some exclusive sets that I have designed myself, based on the benefits that they will have for our children. We specialize in Lucite building blocks, wooden building blocks and wooden figurines, which I believe are at the core of any child's open-ended play journey. 

All our toys are made with toxin-free, environmentally friendly materials that are safe for children of all ages.
