✖️ X Blocks with Lucite Cubes

A Wooden and Lucite Building Set for Little Architects and Big Ideas

Some sets are for quiet, gentle play. This one is for building bigger.

The X Blocks and Lucite Cubes set opens up a whole new world of construction — where imagination meets engineering, and every build becomes a small feat of balance and design. Sixteen precision-crafted X-shaped beechwood blocks add structure, support and endless configuration, while twenty-four shimmering lucite cubes in a rainbow of colours bring light, colour and sparkle to every creation. Together they invite children to stack, balance, problem-solve and dream up structures entirely their own.

It's a set that's as brilliant as it is beautiful — encouraging spatial reasoning, symmetry, fine motor skills and the kind of hands-on experimentation that builds real confidence. Whether for a budding little architect or a lucite collector expanding their world, it pairs beautifully with any Playful Little Hearts lucite set for even more magical builds.

Everything is housed in a beautifully engraved wooden display tray — as lovely to display on a shelf as it is to build with on the floor.

Why mums love it

  • Sparks early STEM thinking through balance, symmetry and spatial reasoning
  • Encourages problem-solving, critical thinking and hands-on experimentation
  • Inspires imagination and open-ended play

  • Pairs with all Playful Little Hearts lucite sets for endless combinations

We are in love with these blocks and lucites

We are in love with these blocks and lucites. The blocks are really beautifully finished and grip together well so they easily stack and the lucites are so amazingly clear and bright. They have had multiple falls and drops and are still as bright and as new. Can’t wait to order more!

Hours of Fun

We added this set as an extra when we purchased one of the castle sets and it has been a fantastic addition. It’s great to use on its own, but we also love combining it with our other wooden and lucite blocks to expand our builds and get even more creative. One of our favourite ways to play is building on the windowsill when the sun is shining through the pieces create the most magical coloured rainbows.

The perfect addition to our playroom

I’ve been eyeing these X Blocks up for a while and decided recently to go ahead and get them- wow I wished I had got these before! They add so much to our playroom and are played with everyday! We stack them, use as dominoes, fences for our farm play, towers for princess play and play games using the lucites blocks! The lucites blocks are gorgeous to look at and are used as treasure or in water play. The whole set is so pretty we display it on a shelfin our playroom. I’d recommend this set to anyone!
